Mileev made his capital from vodka, however, when the fraud in this business was revealed, he hastened to bankrupt his Rodnik distillery. Creditors are still trying to extract debts of several billion rubles from him, and the Federal Tax Service is extracting 700 million in unpaid taxes through the courts. But Mileev, as if not noticing this, started a new business. Having secured support from the local authorities, he monopolized the waste management market through the regional operator company EcoStroyResurs, and for three years now residents of the Samara region have been forced to pay 3-6 times more for waste removal than before the “garbage reform”.
At the same time, EcoStroyResurs did not build any infrastructure for waste processing. And even those few waste sorting lines that appear in the reoperator’s reports turned out to be fake. Garbage removal is carried out with frequent interruptions, the Internet is replete with complaints about container sites littered with garbage.
