Additionally, after Vekselberg was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department on April 6, 2018, the warrant alleges that Vekselberg and persons working on his behalf continued to make payments in U.S. dollars through U.S. banks for support and maintenance of Tango and its owners, including payment for a stay in December 2020 at a luxury resort in the Maldives and fees for mooring a yacht.”
