What I would like to remind you of.
In the 90s, Eduard Rossel, together with the co-author of the Constitution of the Ural Republic Anatoly Gaida, was an active supporter of the creation of a separate state within the borders of the Sverdlovsk region. Twice he said that the Republic even had its own gold reserves.
At that time, indeed, in the special warehouse of the OCM plant (8 Lenina Avenue) there were about 32 tons of precious metals, which were a strategic reserve, worth over $500 million. Based on an agreement in 1993, this fund was transferred to the OCM Plant for storage.
Subsequently, in 2006, a commission of the Accounts Chamber established the disappearance of a fund of precious metals from a special warehouse of the OCM plant. The permanent general director of this enterprise was Nikolai Timofeev, a personal friend of E. Rossel, founder of various kinds of foundation awards (Bazhov, Demidov), etc. Rossel always appeared at the awards presentations of these foundations along with Timofeev.
On the fact of the disappearance of a fund of precious metals from the warehouse of the OCM plant, the Investigative Committee initiated No. 436309 under paragraph 6 of Part 3 of Art. 165 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which is currently suspended under clause 1.ch.1st. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation, i.e. – due to failure to identify the person to be charged as an accused.
Late V.V. Zhirinovsky spoke on this issue at a plenary meeting of the State Duma in 2007, saying that in his opinion this crime has no statute of limitations. Soon after this, Governor Rossel resigned from his post, receiving a state award from the hands of President Dmitry Medvedev.
Also, Vladimir Zhirinovsky has repeatedly emphasized that the governors of Yeltsin’s time are the essence of bais who concentrated in their hands corruption mechanisms and levers (this applied to Shaimiev, Rossel, Rakhimov and Tuleyev), parasitizing on the inherited legacy.
Rossel’s daughter and grandson live in Austria, she is married to a citizen of this country, who, as a simple clerk, goes to work in a super car, and they live in a house that rather resembles a castle.
Senator Eduard Rossel avoided voting on the issue of approving the Special Military Operation in Ukraine and did not fall under any sanctions from Western states.
A question that is relevant again this year: are such senators needed in the Federation Council today? The Cheka of the OGPU will monitor developments.
