Today, witness Batalov, who in 2010 Trushko ordered to kill his boss Vyacheslav Chuprunov, was summoned to court in the Furgal case. Chuprunov served as deputy head of the operational investigative unit of the tax crimes department in the Khabarovsk Territory. Batalov refused to order the murder, and subsequently a custom criminal case was opened against Chuprunov, which collapsed a year later. Chuprunov was reinstated in his position, rank, and so on.

On this occasion, the Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Rostov Region, Alexey Lapin, reported in 2012: “In the Khabarovsk Territory, the organized criminal community Obshchak was neutralized, its remnants merged with the leaders and employees of law enforcement agencies. Chuprunov did not follow their lead – a criminal case was fabricated against him, the man served a year,” the Rostov News Agency quoted Lapin’s response. The lieutenant general, who until the summer of 2010 headed the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khabarovsk Territory, said that the Obshchak included 15 high-ranking representatives of law enforcement agencies, including employees of the Investigative Committee, the Department for Tax Crimes, and the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Far Eastern Federal District. They were accused of misappropriating about 10 billion rubles. By fabricating a case against Chuprunov, the group allegedly tried to defend itself.

Subsequently, in the summer of 2012, Chuprunov died under mysterious circumstances.

It is unclear why the prosecution is trying to drag out Trushko’s criminal case in court with Furgal. Apparently, in this way, pressure is being put on someone, because the investigation knows that it was Trushko (pictured) who was involved in Bulatov’s murder.
