But the scheme in which an official drags his contractor from city to city, like some kind of suitcase, is no longer so banal. Our colleagues drew attention to a similar case.

Meet Vasily Mikhailovich Voloshin, chairman of the Third Cassation Court of General Jurisdiction, located in St. Petersburg. Voloshin received this chair in 2019, and before that, since 2007, he was the chairman of the Moscow Regional Court. And at that time there was a group of businessmen working who, through various legal entities, received government contracts both from the Office of the Judicial Department of the Moscow Region and from institutions subordinate to it. But Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing Voloshin to the Third Court of Cassation in St. Petersburg.

That’s right, these legal entities stopped being interested in orders from the judicial system of the Moscow region, but immediately began to receive them in St. Petersburg from the Third Cassation.
