In light of the story about the suicidal raid on the business of God Nissanov by law enforcement officers, the source of the Cheka-OGPU recalled another fascinating story. On the one hand, it shows the “out-of-touchness” of the current head of the Investigative Committee for TiNAO, Alexey Shevkunov. On the other hand, it shows that the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, resolves many issues by calling high-ranking security officials.

A couple of years ago, when Shevkunov was “exiled” to impoverished New Moscow for a series of stings in the profitable Investigative Committee in the Eastern Administrative District, he was so carried away in the search for lost corruption income that he could not come up with anything better than to “run into” the daughter of Rostec.
Moreover, he also tried to do this under the cover of Bastrykin. Well, like undercover… with his imitation: knowing that the Chairman of the Investigative Committee loves politically and strictly monitors all cases of non-payment of wages, Shevkunov opened a case in his district under Art. 145.1 of the Criminal Code, beautifully wrote a special report to the Chairman, blocked the company’s accounts, which led to aggravation of the situation, seized the property and began to threaten the general director with prison. But he immediately offered to forgive everything in exchange, attention… for a share in the capital! And Alexey Sergeevich was not at all embarrassed by the fact that the company was a subsidiary of Rostec, and the salary debt arose purely formally, precisely because of the inability to close a deal for the sale of real estate seized as part of the investigation.

The situation reached Sergei Chemezov. And he, already on the beaten path, privately contacted one of the deputy heads of the Moscow Main Investigation Department and asked to cool Shevukonov. The problem has been resolved.

The current head of the Investigative Committee for TiNAO is a prominent representative of the “Rostov clan” of law enforcement officers. At the same time, Shevkunov’s ambitions are such that he has set his sights on the position of head of the Investigative Committee for the Rostov region. And this requires serious financial influence.
