How they are preparing to cut new road billions in . Nothing will stand in the way of Russian officials who want to earn their own money: Governor Beglov, Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Savelyev, the head of the Ministry of Transport, Roman Starovoyt, who is often mentioned by us, and the entire royal army selflessly gathered to confer on September 1. Note – on a day off (!).
Those gathered in the Northern Capital discussed the results and plans for the development of the city’s transport infrastructure. But the main meaning of the meeting of the coordination council with the participation of the entire Minister Starovoit was hidden from the understanding of the general public. It consists of five toll overpasses that they want to build over railway crossings in St. Petersburg. Approximately half of the multibillion-dollar cost should be allocated to the city by the feds, that is, Starovoit’s ministry. Well, the companies that we have already mentioned more than once and are close to the minister, such as EuroTransStroy, Orion Plus or Buer, will build with multimillion-dollar kickbacks. As they say, it’s a gorgeous get-together, during which both the governor’s entourage and Starovoit’s team will be able to earn good money in their pockets.
Meanwhile, as various media and telegram channels report, the transport situation in St. Petersburg under Beglov’s leadership remains very deplorable. For example, for five years now, St. Petersburg residents have not been able to rejoice at the opening of new metro stations. Without any shame, officials said that they needed money for the further development of the subway in St. Petersburg – another 1.3 trillion rubles. A complete breakdown also occurs with the reconstruction of city embankments, for example, near the Tuchkov Buyan complex under construction. Trivial repairs began back in 2022, it was planned to be completed in the summer of 2023. To work in a non-competitive and previously unprecedented way, the customer, Mostotrest State Budgetary Institution, invited the unknown company PromDorStroy, whose founders include the former owner of a karting center: of course, this the company belongs to businessmen from Minister Starovoit’s circle.

As a result, all deadlines have been missed, the contract has been terminated and the work will be completed at best by the end of next year. Where are the 100 million rubles spent, of course, a rhetorical question?
However, it seemed to us that the Minister of Transport Roman Starovoyt was even involved in such, albeit local, problems. After all, doctors often advise patients with serious anxiety or stress to go to work. Starovoit is worried about the events in the Kursk region, which he recently headed. Maybe, of course, he is also worried about the fate of people, but most likely the main source of overvoltage is the “fortification” structures, or, as they were called in the media, “dragon’s teeth.” They broke off loudly and it’s not easy to drown out such an echo.

Over the past ten years, more stations have been built in Moscow than exist in St. Petersburg. Over the past five years, the number of St. Petersburg metro stations seems to be getting smaller, given the constant long-term closures. The populous areas of the city are all…
