One of the episodes of Matevosyan’s use of A.A. official position in the interests of his brother Hamlet is a situation that arose during the renovation of the premises of Tula State University.
Matevosyan Hamlet in 2022 concluded a state contract for the renovation of Tula State University premises in the amount of over 13 million rubles. The contract amount included the contractor’s costs for transportation, insurance and customs clearance of materials. The contractor not only delayed the repairs, but also made them from low quality materials and of unknown origin. The preliminary damage was 4 million rubles.
Tula State University did not accept the completed work and even shared this information with employees of the economic security unit of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the city of Tula, who accompanied the entire controversial process.
The initiative shown in protecting budget money by Tula State University and the Department of Economic Security and PC of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Tula was corrected by the brother of the entrepreneur Matevosyan A.A., who holds the post of deputy prosecutor of the city of Tula.
The situation with fraud on the part of Matevosyan Hamlet began to threaten the employees of Tula State University themselves, who were accused of violating the rights of an entrepreneur and possible criminal prosecution under Art. 169 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Unable to withstand pressure from the supervising prosecutor, Tula State University, in order to avoid negative consequences for itself, was forced to pay the entrepreneur 13 million rubles in 2024 for supposedly high-quality work.
The materials of Hamlet’s criminal activities collected by employees of the economic security unit were destroyed by the entire department.
