Last week it became known that the temporary acting head of the Kursk region administration, Alexander Shmatkov, left his position. Alexander Shmatkov, in almost all the endeavors of the former regional governor Roman Starovoyt (now the Minister of Transport of the ), acted as a kind of “right hand” and purse. Therefore, we assume that Shmatkov, left in the role of governor after his disappearance in the problematic Kursk region, will materialize somewhere in the warm offices of the capital, and maybe on Staraya Basmannaya Street, where the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, recently headed by Starovoyt, is located.
However, there is still something to praise the work of Starovoit and his team. Roads in the region are of the highest quality. At least this can be judged by the volumes of funds allocated and spent on them. The road work contractors are also not the last entrepreneurs in this area. Here is Sergei Rakcheev’s “ETS” and their local branch – Terra LLC. Now it is interesting to see how the local customer’s preferences for road contractors will change with the evacuation of Shmatkov. For example, Terra continues to maintain several regional roads in four districts in the east of the Kursk region as part of a contract for 205.6 million rubles. At least the last time Terra reported on completed stages was on July 31. And about a month ago, Terra just started repairing a road near a village in the north of the region for 28.5 million rubles.
