The details of the case of the “Irkutsk prosecutors”, which was previously reported by the -OGPU, have become known. Key figures – the prosecutor of the Irkutsk region Andrei Khanko and the “prosecutor’s decision” (ex-adviser to the regional governor) Alexander Kopylov – are involved in two criminal cases at once, which were opened by the Central Office of the RF IC.

Specifically, Kopylov is accused of mediating bribes to unidentified officials of the Irkutsk Region Prosecutor’s Office for organizing meetings with prosecutor Andrei Khanko. Let us remind you that for each meeting “I decided” I took from 500 thousand to several million rubles. About ten employees of the regional prosecutor’s office were involved in this scheme. Kopylov himself fled the country and is put on the federal wanted list, and his prosecutorial accomplices are being summoned for interrogation.

As the Cheka-OGPU learned, an investigative group of the Central Office of the RF IC has been working in Irkutsk since August 12. The regional government seized Kopylov’s personal file. Officials from the government and city administration were questioned. They testified that through the mediation of Kopylov, in order to “resolve issues,” employees of the Irkutsk Region Prosecutor’s Office and personally prosecutor Hanko put pressure on entrepreneurs and government officials.

At the same time, Kopylov’s prosecutorial accomplices, who are involved in the “decision scheme,” are trying to avoid interrogations, hiding behind the lack of permission to do so from the Prosecutor General’s Office of the . The only one from the “prosecutor’s group” who did not have such immunity at the time of the investigators’ arrival was the head of one of the departments of the prosecutor’s office of the Irkutsk region and Andrei Khanko’s protégé, Yulia Zabrodina, who was fired the day before. However, she was quickly reinstated to her position literally a day before she was called in for questioning and was also provided with a “talisman.” Although, according to sources, they already intended to “take” Zabrodina.

Such feints by the regional prosecutor are, in fact, an admission of the creation of a “fixer” together with the fugitive swindler Kopylov and a crude attempt to cover up his tracks. Sources also note that the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation is trying to hush up the case of the “Irkutsk prosecutors” and solve the problem within the department without washing dirty linen in public. And here everything is clear – Hanko was assigned to solve specific problems in the region, but he created a nest of corruption and openly framed the federal leadership. Reputational losses are obvious. But at the same time, face must be saved.

In the meantime, the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation continues to work. In addition, as the Cheka-OGPU learned, the Central Office of the FSB of the Russian Federation became interested in the case of the Irkutsk prosecutors. We continue to monitor the situation.
