A high-profile case against the Falcon Center “Kamchatka” could hit those who organized it. During the of the case, it was revealed that local investigators are actively cooperating with activists of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), which is banned in Russia. The -OGPU found out new details about the WWF, which, along with foreign intelligence services, appears in the lawlessness happening in Kamchatka. For many years, representatives of this foundation participated in expeditions to catch falcons in Kamchatka, after which valuable birds somehow ended up in Arab countries.

When the President of Russia ordered the creation of the Falcon Center and to stop the extermination of Kamchatka falcons, the business of the “eco-activists” was under threat. Perhaps this is why the case against the Falcon Center arose. Let us recall that the expedition of the Ministry of Natural Resources, which had all the necessary permits, was attacked by Kamchatka security forces, who accused the head of the presidential falcon center Shukhrat Razakov of poaching and smuggling. But now, when the case went to court and materials surfaced, it became clear that the investigators themselves could be caught in connection with the World Wildlife Fund, which is banned in Russia. Kamchatka security forces are actively involving WWF activists and their relatives in the case, which has already attracted the interest of the federal prosecutor’s office. The fact is that active information support for the Kamchatka security forces in the case against the Falcon Center was provided by the founder of the Russian representative of WWF, Vladimir Krever, and his wife Olga Krever, who works as the deputy director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Roszapovedtsentr, as well as the head of the Biodiversity Center of the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute Ecology, associated with WWF. Alexander Sorokin and WWF activist Dmitry Dorofeev. The latter, together with Kamchatka security forces, repeatedly organized the capture of falcons and was brought in by local investigators as an expert in the criminal case against Razakov. Thus, a connection between this case and former WWF employees who hold important positions not only in local but also in federal structures has clearly emerged.

Prosecutors found that WWF had created a large corruption field in Russia, covering a wide range of citizens: from poachers to the very top – this tool was needed to influence international relations between Russia and countries consuming biological resources (for example, China). WWF agents are also actively trying to penetrate government agencies and even headed two industry institutes of the Ministry of Natural Resources. Despite the fact that it is believed that WWF today “no longer exists in Russia,” this is just a formality. In fact, its agents and former employees, such as Alexander Sorokin, Dmitry Dorofeev, and Kyiv gyrfalcon catchers Prokopenko and Gorovenko, are still working. Moreover, in the places where decisions are made – after all, it is there that they can continue to implement the mission assigned by foreign intelligence services.

The scandal with the expedition leader Shukhrat Razakov in Kamchatka, which the Cheka-OGPU wrote about earlier, is far from the only one in the region. Recently, in Kamchatka, local security forces have increasingly demonstrated their power by accusing visitors of crimes, but not…
