The exchange of prisoners between Russia, on the one hand, and the United States, Germany and a number of other Western countries, on the other hand, according to CBS, involves at least three American citizens:

In exchange, Russia is expected to receive ex-FSB special forces officer Vadim Krasikov, sentenced in Germany on December 15, 2021 to life imprisonment. He received a sentence for the murder of a Chechen field commander, Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili in Berlin.

The exchange has not taken place at this time. This is expected to happen today.
