The Moscow Regional Court pronounced a verdict in the case against 20-year-old Nikolai Kondrat, the son of former Deputy Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Ivan Kondrat and former judge of the ASGM Elena Kondrat. He received 20 years in prison.

According to the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for the Moscow Region, on October 2, 2020, Nikolai Kondrat’s Toyota Camry was stopped on Kutuzovsky Avenue by traffic police officers. His driver, Kirill Igitkhanyan, was behind the wheel. He showed the police an investigator’s ID and a special “non-inspection” coupon, which allows the holder of such a document to avoid checks on the roads.

The ID and coupon raised doubts among the police about its authenticity; on this basis, Kirill Igitkhanyan was detained and taken to the Dorogomilovsky police station.

Nikolai Kondrat was concerned about the detention of a driver with a fake license. To prevent the driver from telling his parents about this, the guy decided to get rid of him. He entrusted his acquaintance Nikita Matsnev to carry out his plan, promising a “generous” fee – 80 thousand rubles.

According to investigators, through a taxi driver, Nikolai Kondrat gave Nikita Matsnev a hunting knife and wrote a message to Kirill, setting up a meeting in a remote place – in a ravine in the Lukhovitsky district of the Moscow region – supposedly to discuss what had happened. Nikita Matsnev involved his friend Gennady Voskresensky in the case. The two of them met the unsuspecting driver at the designated location the day after the arrest incident, October 3. During the meeting, a fight broke out and the man received several stab wounds from which he died.

The second victim almost became an entrepreneur who was a competitor of Nikolai’s girlfriend

He was also preparing an assassination attempt on the owner of the building where he rented an office.

Nikolai, by the way, was also suspected of preparing an attempt on the life of the judge of the Moscow Arbitration Court, Elena Makhalkina. At the same time, Makhalkin was supposed to be shot with a crossbow. Let us note that Elena Makhalkina appears in the case of a bribe that Nikolai Kondrat’s mother, former arbitration judge Elena Kondrat, tried to give her. The latter asked Makhalkina for 50 thousand dollars to make the decision that businessmen needed.

The Cheka-OGPU was the first to report Nikolai’s arrest.
