The -OGPU has prepared a digest of the biggest telephone scams over the past month and new tricks of telephone scammers.

The greatest damage from communication with “security service specialists” was recorded a couple of days ago by MGIMO doctor Olga Mitrofanova. The woman contacted the police, saying that, under the influence of her interlocutors, she sold an apartment on Khamovnichesky Val Street for 24 million rubles and took out three loans for a little less than 3 million. Unfortunately, she transferred all her hard-earned money to “safe accounts.”

Another “record holder” was the head of the department of the Institute for the Safe Development of Nuclear Energy, Mikhail Kobrinsky. Under the same admonitions of pseudo-employees of the FSB and State Services, the scientist lost more than 6 million rubles.

Olga Vronskaya, an employee of the Ministry of Energy, voluntarily, but being misled, parted with approximately the same amount. The woman was convinced to get loans by her “boss” together with the FSB.

Using modern technologies, swindlers scammed Sergei Devyanin, a professor at the Timiryazev Academy. The victim was “processed” via video conference in Zoom not only by a deepfake of Mayor , who has repeatedly helped criminals successfully deceive victims, but also by an artificial interlocutor in the form of First Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexander Gorovoy. The damage ultimately amounted to 5 million rubles.

Another know-how of the scammers concerned a more primitive scheme of scammers. The same ones who previously distributed fake profiles of prostitutes, and then a voice with a Caucasian accent called the applicants and demanded a penalty for the “girl”. Now such traps can be found on ad sites, in cryptocurrency chats and others. Only this time, the caller “Zelimkhan” introduces himself as a fighter of “Akhmat” and accuses the interlocutor that with his call he disrupted the transfer (or other pretexts) to the Kadyrov Foundation, and now it is necessary not only to apologize, but also to pay compensation.
