The security forces presented Akhmedov’s case as “high-profile.” For the first time in Russia, a person was convicted of the murder of a Russian citizen committed in another country. We are talking about the execution in the center of Tbilisi of Elshan Mamedov, an associate of another late kingpin, Nadir Salifov (Lotu Guli). In 2020, Akhmedov was sentenced to 15 years in prison for this crime. He served time in a maximum security colony in Tambov. Then he was transferred to Pyatigorsk under the pretext of investigative actions as part of a case under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorism). In reality, Akhmedov was only formally interrogated in Pyatigorsk, but he never returned to Tambov. Then he was sent to serve his sentence… to Chechnya to maximum security colony number 2. There Akhmedov signed a contract with “Akhmat” and left the colony “for the Northern Military District.” But he did not end up in the war. After “long training” in Chechnya, Akhmedov found himself in a rented apartment in Rostov. After 6 months of “participation in the SVO”, he was promised an award, after which he would finally become a free man. According to a source of the Cheka-OGPU, the service cost Akhmedov’s relatives the same 10 million rubles for the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation and another 500 thousand dollars went to a certain Akhmed from Adam Delimkhanov‘s entourage. 
Emin Akhmedov is the younger brother of Zaur Akhmedov, who actually took the place of the late thief in law Rovshan Dzhaniev. The Akhmedovs are cousins of Rovshan. The murder of Elshan Mamedov in Tbilisi in 2017 was a continuation of the “criminal war” of the Rovshan and Lotu Guli clans. Mamedov was Guli’s “right hand” and played one of the main roles in the release of Salifov from an Azerbaijani prison. As Georgian investigators established, in the fall of 2017, Akhmedov and his accomplice Iskenderov followed Mamedov for a long time. On September 11, in the parking lot of the Maspindzelo and Puris Sakhli restaurants in Tbilisi, Elshan was getting into his Land Cruiser when the killers opened fire on him. Mamedov died from his injuries.
