The context of the dismissal is interesting. At the end of April, after the end of the working day, employees of the investment division were drinking peacefully under stress and at the same time discussing the situation in the company. 
The employees, accustomed to Chubais’s free reign, assessed the situation in the company and its leader, Sergei Kulikov, very disapprovingly.
The next morning everyone received notice of layoffs.
Four years after the dismissal of Chubais, the company, whose main task is to invest in nanotechnology projects, remains without a production core.
What remains in Rusnano today?
Firstly, projects started under Chubais. Projects that Rusnano sells under various dubious deals. Judge for yourself: Novomet Group of Companies is a leader in the oilfield services industry, growing by 10-20% per year, and is sold for 5.5 billion rubles. Despite the fact that in 2017 the state did not approve, for formal reasons, a deal to sell this asset for 13 billion rubles.
Secondly, the building in which Rusnano itself is located. Now this building is for sale with big questions regarding the tender documentation
Thirdly, there is a huge support staff – staff, lawyers and financiers. By the way, the old schemes are already here and have not disappeared. In 2020-2021, a lot was written about the fact that despite the presence of lawyers on Rusnano’s staff, the company entered into an agreement with AK Asnis and Partners. Today everything is the same, only instead of A. Asnis there are others, but already their own lawyers.
Are we waiting for a breakthrough in the field of nano? Or is it not necessary?
