From year to year, we continue to observe Ruagro’s favorite scheme to take over Russian agribusinesses (both independently and through offshore corporate structures), including: the Kropotkinsky oil extraction plant, the Kuban Razgulyai enterprise, Agroinvest LLC, Agro-Invest Group. Belogorye” in the Belgorod region.
Among the “victim companies” were the Buket Group of Companies and the Solar Products Group of Companies, the beneficiary of which was Vladislav Burov. The story began back in October 2018, when, under the auspices of joint business and merger of assets, Rusagro (completely free of charge) took over the offshore company Quartlink Holding Limited, which in turn owned and managed the companies of the Solar Products holding. After gaining corporate control over the holding, Burov was removed from the management of the Holding, and controlled processes began in the holding companies for their bankruptcy and withdrawal of assets in favor of companies controlled by Rusagro.
At the moment, in the Arbitration Court of the city of Moscow in the bankruptcy case of Burov, a dispute is unfolding on the claim of the financial manager Tikhomirova V.G. on the invalidation of a chain of transactions to “squeeze out” the assets of Burov and his holding.
Moshkovich and Rusagro are making desperate attempts to “cover up the tracks” of the seizure of Burov’s business and his assets, which were successfully and free of charge transferred to Rusagro’s companies, leaving Burov only subsidiary liability for the obligations of the holding companies included in the register of Burov’s creditors. As they say: “To you the tops, and to us the roots.”
The excitement of Rusagro can be understood, since if the transactions are declared invalid for everything “squeezed out” from Burov V.Yu. assets will have to be paid, so Rusagro is trying in every conceivable and inconceivable way to “drain” the lawsuit, hiding behind offshore companies.
Will the “invader” be able to turn Themis in his favor?! We are monitoring developments. However, analyzing the positions of the arbitration courts of Saratov and Moscow, it remains unclear why the courts willingly side with the raiders who are destroying Russian agribusiness and withdrawing income from “squeezed-out” assets offshore?!
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice is currently considering a request from State Duma deputies to recognize the owner of the Rusagro company, billionaire Vadim Moshkovich, as a foreign agent.
