The Tverskoy Court of received a petition from the to arrest the former co-owner of the leasing companies Transfin-M and SG-Trans, Alexei Taicher. He is charged with fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the ). The entrepreneur was detained at one of the Moscow airports by FSB officers on June 18, and searches were carried out at SG-Trans on the same day. Several other people were detained along with Taicher, including members of the board of directors of Transfin-M Alexander Goland and Ivan Blagodatskikh.

Teicher left the founders of the Transfin-M and SG-Trans companies in 2024 and 2023, respectively. The businessman previously worked in senior positions at Russian Railways: as an adviser to the first vice president, he oversaw the separation of the operator business from the structure of the state monopoly; being deputy general director, he was involved in preparations for the privatization of the First Freight Company. In 2015, he headed the Federal Freight Company. Teicher bought SG-Trans together with AFK-Sistema in 2012 for 22 billion rubles.

SG-Trans is a specialized operator of liquefied hydrocarbon gases transported in tanks and tank containers. Transfin-M specializes in operational leasing of railcars and is one of the largest leasing companies in Russia.
