Let us turn to the personality of the deputy director for flight organization of MNT-aero, which owned Prigozhin’s plane, which was blown up in the air, Sergei Shtyrkov.
As we have already written, this man comes from the State Air Traffic Control Corporation, worked for some time in a company serving the leader of the PMC, and literally a couple of days before the plane with Evgeniy Prigozhin crashed, he quit and received a promotion in the same department of the Federal Air Transport Agency. Now he is engaged in flying radio equipment.
From what we were able to obtain and study regarding flight matters, the commission has comments on the crew members, but they are insignificant. Observations in preparation and training – there were gaps in matters not related to aircraft control. The protocols indicate that emergency rescue training was not carried out, and there were no extensions for training on simulators.
At Sheremetyevo Airport, in particular in VIP Terminal A, an employee of the Federal Air Transport Agency who arrived at the scene was prohibited from working both immediately after the emergency and later. Pavel Tonkoshkurov was able to interview gas station and service employees. But he was not allowed access to any means of objective control (cameras, introscopes) or documentation other than licenses. The only thing that the airport staff managed to hand over to him, hot on his heels, was a crumpled inspection document for Yevgeny Prigozhin’s plane, which was found by an airport inspector on the runway where the plane was parked before departure. This document was supposed to be with the crew in the cabin, but for some reason it was crumpled up and thrown away. The strange find was immediately seized by intelligence officers.
The most important part of the investigation – the flight recorders were classified. From the commission for sure, according to interlocutors and from the Investigative Committee too. Both the speech and parametric black boxes have been handed over to the FSB since their discovery. The experts were told that investigations were carried out even in cases where the recorders were damaged, so it was indicated in advance that their conclusions would have to rely on data from other sources. At the same time, it is known for certain that these devices are intact: to service them (almost to clean them from dirt and dust, not to decrypt them), the FSB hired employees of the Russian Aviation Register.
The plane was within the coverage area of three ground service locators. Using this data and a map, investigators compiled detailed maps – a diagram of the area that shows characteristic landmarks that are important in the investigation of an aviation event. It was recorded that after the point where the plane changed its trajectory, it flew literally 200 meters before the first debris was discovered.
According to experts, what was captured on eyewitness footage and even what was observed by random villagers has nothing to do with the emergency. It is 3.5 kilometers from the first point (where small debris was found) to the place where the first large part fell – the keel (tail).
Experts came to the conclusion that at first there was a small explosion on board, the board flew this distance gradually collapsing, and the collapse of the keel and then the wing was a consequence of the overloads to which the jet was subjected after the initial damage.
From the place where the keel fell to the place where the wing was found is 400 meters. From this point to the place where the entire machine fell, there are another 2 kilometers. It turns out that the entire plane flew, collapsing in the air, from the point where the explosion occurred to the point where the board crashed – 6 kilometers.
At the same time, according to the available data, there were no significant deviations from the plane’s course (more accurate information can only be obtained from indicators from a parametric recorder) – the board flew straight all the time and only lost altitude.
It is difficult to say whether this means that the crew was conscious.
It was established that the pilots were in their seats and their bodies were less damaged. By the way, it is known that the crew members were tested for drugs: no alcohol, no drugs, no psychotropic drugs were found in the pilots’ bodies.
