However, according to the source, Sedov was reminded of the terrorist attack in Crocus, so he will not remain in his previous place, receiving in return an honorable, but meaningless, place. There is also “another side” to his resignation. The head of the Directorate of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Ivan Tkachev, is aiming for the position of head of the 2nd Service (as a gift, the rank of Colonel General). After he has been in the chair of the head of any Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, prospects will open to take the place of director of the FSB of the Russian Federation, which is Tkachev’s main goal.

As the Cheka-OGPU previously reported, the head of the Fifth Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation, Sergei Beseda, who turned 70 in May, is also leaving his post. He was accused of the complete failure of the Service’s activities in the Ukrainian direction.
It is already known that Beseda will receive a “retirement” position as an adviser to the head of the 5th FSB Service.

And for the position of leader, the main contender is the Deputy Head of the Operational Information Department of the 5th Service, General Dmitry Milyutin.

In the 5th Service, Milyutin is responsible for Belarus, Moldova and the Baltic states. However, no drastic changes should be expected, since Milyutin is completely controlled by Beseda. Also, hopes are pinned on Milyutin for the expected successes of the FSB’s work in Moldova in anticipation of the upcoming elections in the country.
