“The main enemy of Moscow Prosecutor Denis Popov so far is the head of the Main Directorate of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasian Federal District and Southern Federal District, Yuri Katasonov, who has been “washing” for the fourth day the assignment of State Counselor of Justice 2nd class (lieutenant general). Katasonov’s health allows him – the old school of the Airborne Forces. And it is not possible to refuse a large number of friends and partners on various “topics” in the country’s law enforcement bloc. Katasonov is considered one of the most influential and financially secure employees in the prosecutor’s office system. Katasonov earned his main fortune from supervising the capital’s police. The operatives and the investigation of the Moscow police were required to coordinate every serious step with the 16th IHL Directorate, which Katasonov supervised while still at the headquarters of the Deputy Prosecutor of Moscow. All law enforcement in the capital knows well what kind of money (bribes) are “walking” in the police Main Investigation Department. However, Denis Popov, appointed Moscow prosecutor in 2019, drank a lot of Katasonov’s “blood”. The latter and Katasonov are bitter enemies, among whom, even in the old days, the conflict reached the point of assault. 
Katasonov’s “roof” is the head of Directorate “K” of the SEB of the FSB of Russia, Ivan Tkachev, and, accordingly, the Prosecutor General himself, Igor Krasnov (Tkachev’s godfather and partner). In addition, the head of the “special department” of the entire Prosecutor General’s Office, Sergei Orlov, is also Katasonov’s closest comrade and Popov’s worst enemy. The latter’s term as the capital’s prosecutor expires in less than 3 months. The main task of the Krasnov-Tkachev-Orlov-Katasonov team today is to prevent Popov’s career growth either in the State Enterprise, or in the Investigative Committee, or even in the Administrative Office, but at the same time, at any cost, to prevent the extension of Popov’s powers for a new five-year period in his old position . Denis Popov’s main “resource” is the current head of the FSB SEB Sergei Alpatov. Thus, the country’s supervisory agency is entering a zone of turbulence (clan intrigue): the powers of Moscow and Moscow Region prosecutors Denis Popov and Sergei Zabaturin, respectively, are ending, and most importantly, in a little more than six months, the powers of the country’s Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov will expire. The main question: will General Ivan Tkachev and their main patron, the head of Rosneft Igor Sechin, help Krasnov to be reassigned to the new five-year plan, or will everything be a pension, and the State Enterprise will take over under its influence after the Supreme Court (Podnosov), the Government (Mishustin) and the Accounts Chamber Yuri Kovalchuk?
