Confirmation was received that the accident was caused by the installation of a substandard turbine support during engine repair, as well as the introduction into the technical specifications on the electronic engine control system (ECM) of a requirement to take off TU-160M aircraft with anti-surge protection (ASP) disconnected from the actuators. UEC JSC established a restriction on the operation of the ECM during aircraft takeoff due to criminal arrogance due to insufficient engine thrust. Flights of the TU-160M with engines that did not confirm thrust during calibration tests are not permissible. Repeated proposals from “Temp” to supplement the specifications and refine the ECM with expanding the function of monitoring and controlling the operation of the engine and other actuators were invariably rejected by UEC JSC.
According to information received, the head of UEC V. Badekha at the end of May 2024. personally visited JSC Tupolev, where he persistently persuaded his colleagues to lay the blame for the emergency on JSC NPP Temp named after. F.
