“Some kind of idiocy! Most areas are large villages where everyone knows everyone. People have funerals, grief, and we don’t write anything. And in St. Petersburg, for example, they write. They write in Pskov, in Novgorod. But we shouldn’t! And people are indignant, asking why we are keeping silent?” one of the district administration employees told us.
Such sentiments do not add stability to Drozdenko’s government. After all, as one of those close to the governor told us, after a series of arrests of officials of various scales and the flight abroad of the former head of the Vsevolozhsk district administration Andrei Nizovsky, closest to the governor, pessimism and apathy reign among Drozdenko’s entourage. Some officials are literally waiting for someone to come for them, others do not see any prospects, and the personnel shortage of the notorious “Team 47” is rapidly growing.
