Back in 2010, an ordinary drug addict, Alexander Drozdov, testified that he allegedly gave a bribe to the commander of a private security platoon, a current employee of the Korolev Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Nikolai Nikitin, for not bringing him to criminal responsibility. By a fateful (for Nikitin) coincidence, Drozdov’s testimony turned out to be sufficient for the investigation and trial, and Nikitin was sentenced to a real term of imprisonment. This takes into account the fact that at the trial Drozdov renounced his earlier testimony and stated that he was mistaken (as he was in a state of withdrawal) in identifying Nikitin.

In 2019, Alexander Drozdov wrote a confession to the Mytishchi department of the Investigative Committee, in which he described in detail how he slandered Nikitin. The inspection material was entrusted to investigator Melnikov of the Mytishchi Investigative Committee. We previously talked about the “merits” of this investigator. In order not to be distracted from more important matters, Melnikov simply “lost” Drozdov’s confession and explanation.

After Melnikov’s arrest and a four-year paper cycle, the verification material on the fact of Drozdov’s confession was partially (of course, with the exception of Drozdov’s appearance and explanation) restored and is currently being processed by the investigator of the Mytishchi Investigative Committee Ulyana Korolenko. It is worth noting that to date, investigator Korolenko has not carried out any actions involving Drozdov. And this despite the fact that the investigation knows for sure that Drozdov has a number of serious, chronic diseases. Perhaps investigator Korolenko and her leadership are waiting for something?!! And if there is no one to question, then there was no slander against policeman Nikitin.
