A source from the Cheka-OGPU reported that the head of the main personnel department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Yuri Kuznetsov, was detained in his own bed. The counterintelligence officers came for the general fully armed and acted deliberately harshly. At about 5 a.m. on May 13, security forces in balaclavas and with crowbars “took out” the gates and windows in the mansion of the chief military personnel officer in the Istra district. According to the interlocutor, at the time of the assault, Yuri Kuznetsov himself and his wife were in the red brick house. The woman at one time worked in the Committee on Military-Technical Cooperation with Foreign States, the Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces and other structures of the Ministry of Defense. Her husband was literally dragged out of bed and taken away for interrogation; according to our information, he was detained. It is known that one of Yuri Kuznetsov’s relatives required medical assistance; his wife is still in the Investigative Committee. The only ones who suspected something was wrong and tried to help the boss were two deputies of the head of the personnel department, but they were made to understand at the workplace that this could cause harm in an already tense situation.
