The Cheka-OGPU became aware of the receipt of a particularly large bribe by the shop manager of one of the leading Russian manufacturers of weapons and ammunition – the Krasmash plant, which is part of Roscosmos. Alexander Kontsevoy, according to the investigation, organized the illegal production of small and large-sized assembly units (“rings”, “shafts”, “rollers”, “worm wheels”, “gears”, and other metal products) at the facilities of his workshop in the interests of LLC “ Metalresurs”. In return, he received money and household appliances (electric oven, range hood, electric hob, built-in dishwasher) on a particularly large scale from the management of Metalresurs.

The shop manager distributed the bribe received among subordinate workers with whom he was in a criminal conspiracy. Illegal production continued at Krasmash from 2021 to 2023. A criminal case was opened against Kontsevoy for receiving a bribe on an especially large scale (Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code), and against the director and founder of Metalresurs – for giving a bribe (Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code). The investigation is being carried out by the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation; as part of the criminal case, the property of the workshop manager has been seized.

Krasmash is engaged in the production of weapons and ammunition, launch vehicles and upper stages, machinery and equipment.
