As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the investigation into the criminal case of Igor Igin has been completed…

As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, the investigation into the criminal case of Igor Igin, the former general director of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “National Operator for Radioactive Waste Management” (a Rosatom structure), accused of receiving bribes worth 132.5 million rubles, has been completed.
According to investigators, bribes from the management of St. Petersburg LLC Spetsproekt were transferred for accepting work on the disposal of radiation-contaminated forest.
In addition, an unregistered pistol was also found in the possession of a KGB reserve lieutenant colonel (5 years of service in the Kuibyshev department in the late 80s).
The case was opened in July 2023, and Igin was arrested in the same month.
Last week, Igin’s lawyers got acquainted with a multi-volume criminal case in one day. The charges are now awaiting approval from the prosecutor before the case goes to trial.
Sources familiar with the case predict the saddest outcome for Igin. “All his high-status acquaintances have turned their backs on him, and the lawyers are banally serving his number,” says the interlocutor.
Seized assets worth about 300 million rubles are also working against Igin. and an offshore account certificate for $10 million found during the search.
It is interesting that his son Vsevolod Igin continues to work as director of the department of cooperation with international and scientific organizations of the FSUE NO RAO. At the same time, he and his mother (Marina Igina) were listed as co-founders of the Moscow HOA “Mansurovsky 5”, which manages a house on Mansurovsky Lane in the Golden Mile area.
