As it became known to the Cheka-OGPU, the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation completed the investigation of the criminal case against the 73-year-old ex-employee of the tax authorities of St. Petersburg, Nadezhda Shaman, whose development involved more than 70 employees of the Investigative Committee, the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs because her son was an IT specialist. Recently, the Basmanny Court, at the request of the investigation, extended her arrest until July 12. The prosecutor’s office objected to the extension of custody, citing the age and state of health of the accused, and proposed releasing her under house arrest. The investigation is actually using Nadezhda Shaman as a hostage: her son and his wife Ekaterina managed to escape from the security forces in Santiago (Chile). Both are put on the international wanted list on charges of particularly large-scale fraud.
