Already at 3 a.m. on April 5, the personnel of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs were alerted, and the general gathering was personally conducted by the city prosecutor Demin. Then, under his leadership, as well as the head of the local Investigative Committee, Valeria Kachura, and the chief of police, Sergei Dergachev, a “grand” operation was carried out in the best traditions with illegal searches, detentions, blackmail of detainees, including the illegal seizure of their children.
We had at our disposal one of the orders to conduct a search: it does not indicate the time and date, when, by whom or under what article the case was initiated, what exactly the person is suspected of, where exactly the search should be carried out, what is its urgency. There is not even the investigator’s signature on the resolution. And of course, the employees did not have any court order giving the right to conduct a search. 
Police officers illegally seized the children of two “detained” witnesses and brought them to the department and handed them over to medical workers, after which they forced them to sign interrogation reports with the testimony “needed” by the investigation, putting the women before an obvious choice: either you sign what is needed, or you won’t see your children again. very long.
The formal claims of Demin, Dergachev and the investigative team are related to transactions with cryptocurrency (which is currently not prohibited by the laws of the Russian Federation).
In fact, law enforcement officers needed to organize such a “performance” for a completely different reason – everyone against whom there are now complaints (that’s as many as 8 people) are acquaintances or partners of local businessman Z.
On March 17, 2024, local traffic police officer Mikhail Alekseev stopped the car for inspection, and the passenger was local businessman Z. Word for word and now Alekseev with the words “What an animal!” attacked the victim without any reason or legal requirements. For almost 20 minutes, he continued to strike, throw him to the ground, and spray tear gas in his face. All this in front of eyewitnesses and video cameras of the Safe City system.
As a result, the entrepreneur has been receiving treatment in hospital for three weeks now, but for some reason a criminal case has been opened against him, and also under the grave part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
In addition, on April 5, an investigator from the Investigative Committee came directly to his hospital room and offered to admit guilt under Article 318 and get off with a fine, and to refuse any claims against the police officers. One of the detainees heard how Dergachev personally ordered his subordinates to detain him and his wife. To the question of those repaired: “What do they have to do with the cryptocurrency business?” Dergachev replied: “They are friends of Z., let them sit and think!”
The entrepreneur, however, did not admit guilt, and there is a lot of evidence in his favor, but the traffic police officer may very well have a “case” for exceeding his authority. In the future, a criminal case will also be initiated against four employees of the Department of Internal Affairs (by the way, among them is the same traffic cop Alekseev) for beating a citizen back in September 2023 right in the police department.
All this greatly excited not only the head of the Department of Internal Affairs Dergachev, but also the city prosecutor Demin along with the rest of the law enforcement officers.
The local law enforcement bloc does not need such concern, which is why this entire “special operation” described above was organized. So a local businessman and the entire law enforcement system of the Lodeynopolsky district of the Leningrad region came together in an unequal battle.
