The information of the Cheka-OGPU that the head of the judicial department of the Supreme Court, Alexander Gusev, resigned was confirmed by State Duma deputy Alexander Khinshtein.
According to the source, such a rush to submit a resignation is due to the fact that the new Chairman of the Supreme Court, Podnosova, who will be appointed next week, gave a specific hint that before her appointment, Gusev’s team should not be in the Judicial Department. Moreover, Gusev received information through his friend Viktor Momotov (Chairman of the Council of Judges) and the acting Supreme Court of the Russian Federation – Petr Serkov. The deadline for vacating the position was given a minimum, all attempts to reach Podnosova from Gusev failed, she did not even accept him, although she once came to his reception and asked for new funds for her trial in the Leningrad region.
