Recently the Moscow City Court recognized legal arrest of the head of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf. Thus, leaving the decision of the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow on choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the President of the Vogue Stanislav Ivanov and the Vice-President of the Vogue Vera Gauluston unchanged.
The decision of the second court to leave the leadership of the Vog in the pre-trial detention center became the reason for the deputy of United Russia, Mr. Terentyev, to express his dissatisfaction and accusations of dishonesty on the part of representatives of the judicial system and investigative bodies on the Internet.
The deputy has admitted more than once that the head of the Vog, suspected of embezzlement on an especially large scale, is his longtime associate and was even his assistant.
During his interview with one of the telegram channels, he expressed confidence in the “ordered” nature and complete groundlessness of the decision to place Ivanov and his deputies in custody.
Terentyev also accused the Investigative Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs of not carrying out any investigative actions since the arrest.
In an interview, the deputy promised that “those who carry out the order will lose their careers and faith in those who are now covering them.”
Let us recall that Ivanov was sent into custody at the end of February this year. According to investigators, he and his accomplices committed embezzlement by alienating at a deliberately reduced cost the entrusted real estate, which was owned by the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, causing significant damage to the organization. The amount of damage from the illegal activities of Mr. Ivanov and his accomplices is estimated by the investigation at more than 200 million rubles.
A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Embezzlement on an especially large scale).
