⁉️ Social activists in the Volgograd region are sounding the alarm, calling the decision of the FAS “anti-people,” which, according to the Popular Front, is artificially provoking a “garbage catastrophe.” For the May holidays, citizens may expect forced subbotnik due to “garbage wars” beneficiaries of Citymatic-Volgograd LLC, who are trying with all their strength and connections to return the contracts that they lost.

The other day, the FAS ordered Volgograd officials to cancel, before May 1, the order assigning EcoCenter LLC the status of a temporary regional operator for the management of municipal solid waste and announce a competition to find a new operator. This unprecedented decision may leave the hero city without garbage collection, since the previous relocation operator, Citymatic-Volgograd, was legally deprived of this status, which is confirmed by arbitration courts in three instances. However, the current registrar, according to the FAS, it should not work either.

The scandalous situation has stirred up activists in the region. Thus, a member of the Popular Front headquarters, Konstantin Glushenok, believes that the FAS decision does not comply with current legislation and leads to irreversible consequences. One can only guess what federal antimonopoly officials are trying to achieve, and what residents of the Volgograd region should do on May 1, when instead of “long holidays” they will have to clear away rubbish rubble.
