Krepostnov is known as the former head of the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Yaroslavl region, from where he was fired with a scandal.
Also, the CSS employees established that in lobbying the commercial interests of the United Confectioners and putting pressure on former partners, Sergei Krepostnov involved his close comrade – First Deputy Prosecutor of the Moscow Region Andrey Gantsev, with whom they worked closely back in Yaroslavl, when Gantsev held the position of Prosecutor of the Yaroslavl Region . After the meeting with Krepostnov, a motivated Andrei Gantsev, referring to senior leaders from the General Prosecutor’s Office, began to give his subordinates and colleagues from various constituent entities of the Russian Federation illegal instructions to assist the United Confectioners in every possible way on any, even not the most legal, issues.
One of these illegal instructions from Andrei Gantsev was addressed to the Deputy Prosecutor of the Republic of Dagestan, Sergei Kuznetsov, who, in his own words, came to the region a year ago to restore order. However, Kuznetsov’s words diverged from the deeds as soon as his Moscow colleague contacted him. The editors have obtained a letter from Andrei Gantsev, in which, in violation of jurisdiction, he demands that Sergei Kuznetsov urgently withdraw from the Republic of Dagestan the materials of inspections regarding the Dagestan businessman Magomed Omarov, who defeated the United Confectioners in Moscow arbitration, and transfer them to the regional prosecutor’s office.
At a meeting between Sergei Krepostnov and Sergei Kuznetsov in Makhachkala, the prosecutor pleased the representative of the United Confectioners about the fulfillment of his colleague’s instructions, which the security officer had already reported to his management.
