Who controls the Supreme Court during the period of “timelessness”

Currently, the judicial power of our country is going through not the easiest times – an entire era has ended. On February 23, Vyacheslav Lebedev, who served as Chairman of the Supreme Court for several decades, died after a long illness. But the power vacuum is always filled by unscrupulous people who use the situation for personal gain.

Pyotr Serkov, who has been acting as Chairman of the Supreme Council for more than a month, has actually withdrawn from the leadership, engaged in “educating” the apparatus and holding endless meetings.

We have already written several times about the “gray eminence” of the judicial system General Director Judicial Department under the Supreme Court Alexander Gusev, who is not only known for his numerous corrupt schemesbut also attempts to be a conductor of the personnel policy of the Armed Forces, although, in fact, he is a simple supply manager, not even having judicial status.
Gusev has always positioned himself as a person capable of “organize» any appointment in the judicial system, up to the level of Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court.

But the system failed due to Gusev’s “protégé”, Advisor to the Chairman of the Supreme Court Stanislav Fedorov, widely known for numerous corruption scandals and deception of the High Qualification Board of Judges.
It was Gusev, with the support of another “gray eminence” – the Krasnodar chairman of the Council of Judges Viktor Momotov, who convinced the seriously ill Lebedev to make a clearly disastrous and even offensive personnel decision for the judicial system.

The trade in judicial positions does not stop even now. On February 16 and 22, announcements about the opening of ten key bets were published on the website of the High Qualification Board of Judges: seven chairmen cassation courts and three chairmen courts of appeal of general jurisdiction.
The opening of such vacancies in itself in the absence of the Chairman of the Supreme Court looks more than strange.

According to the information available to the Cheka-OGPU, Gusev simply sells these positions to everyone, knowing full well that the “go-ahead” voiced on behalf of the now deceased Lebedev to submit documents for the competition does not provide any guarantees of receiving an appointment (as happened with Fedorov, who, despite connecting all the “connections” and generously distributed promises to be useful, he never became the chairman of the Arbitration Court of the Moscow Region).
At the same time, not a day goes by without Gusev visiting the building of the Supreme Court on Povarskaya Street (although he himself works on Gilyarovsky Street), where, in warm company, over a glass, he “arranges the fate” of the future “leaders” of the judicial system and receives assurances from them of his personal devotion.

Apart from Gusev, personnel policy in the judicial system is handled by people completely far from this. Our sources name Lebedev’s friend, the famous composer Igor Krutoy as well as some representatives of the security bloc and senators.
