As the Cheka-OGPU learned, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation changed the preventive measure to the head of the department of the anti-cybercrime software company FACCT (formerly Group-IB) Nikita Kislitsina to one not related to imprisonment.

Kislitsin was detained in 2023 in Kazakhstan at the request of US authorities. The FBI accuses Nikita Kislitsin of gaining access to personal data of users of the social network LinkedIn and Dropbox and Formspring servers back in 2012, along with other hackers. As a result, the data and passwords of 117 million people were stolen and put up for sale by hackers.

Russia immediately joined the fight for Kislitsin. The Ministry of Internal Affairs opened a case against a hacker (previously Kislitsyn was one and headed the magazine of the same name) on charges of committing crimes under Part 3 of Art. 272 (illegal access to legally protected computer information committed by a group of persons or using an official position) and paragraph “a”, paragraph “d”, part 2 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (extortion on a large scale, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). And the Tverskoy court decided to arrest him in absentia. Kislitsin was put on the international wanted list

Kazakhstan, meanwhile, choosing whether to extradite Kislitsin to the United States or the Russian Federation, gave preference to Moscow. In December 2023, the head of the FACCT department was extradited to Russia. Now he is already free.
