The US Secret Service has put on the wanted list the former leader of the “Russian cyber forces” – the hacker group Alexei Stroganov (aka Flint). He is accused of stealing data associated with hundreds of millions of credit cards and bank accounts from May 2007 to July 2017. To profit from this scheme, Stroganov oversaw a network of resellers and merchants to whom Stroganov provided access to databases containing personal information and payment card information for hundreds of thousands of accounts. Sellers then sold this data on the dark web through cybercrime forums and dark web websites. As a result of this scheme, losses to financial institutions exceeded $35 million.
In Russia, Flint is also on trial for selling stolen credit card data.

Earlier, the Cheka-OGPU wrote that Flint’s group was supervised by FSB DVKR employee Igor Voroshilov, who is also in custody.
The indictment describes the “cyber troops” as a group that controlled most of the shadow market for means of payment.
