A source from the Cheka-OGPU told the details of the cholera infection of a member of the Russian Foreign Ministry delegation after visiting the G-20 summit. The government IL of the Russia air squad with Sergei Lavrov, Maria Zakharova, 12 diplomats and international journalists arrived in Jakarta on September 6. The visit to Indonesia for the East Asian Summit took place and on September 7 the delegation flew to Dhaka (Bangladesh). There were no documents at all for the food that was loaded into the Foreign Ministry’s plane in Bangladesh heading to India. Despite this, the food was accepted and loaded on board in special carts.
According to a source from the Cheka-OGPU, food for Lavrov travels with him from Russia in the refrigerator. But fruits, salad and dessert for Sergei Lavrov were still taken from Dhaka without documents. Not to mention the rest of the provisions for the second hall (12 Foreign Ministry soldiers were located there), the first hall (journalists) and the lower deck, where the kitchen and the entire crew dined.
Next, after a meeting with the leadership of Bangladesh, IL flew towards New Delhi. The delegation arrived in India on the eve of the event and the crew spent a total of three days there. On September 11, Sergei Lavrov and Maria Zakharova flew on a separate plane to Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum, and Il to Moscow.
According to the source, left without a boss, the Foreign Ministry employees threw a huge party on the way back from New Delhi to Moscow – they drank vodka. During the party, 51-year-old Andrei Yakushin became ill and the diplomat occupied the toilet, where he spent more than an hour. A passenger who, on the eve of departure, was sitting at the same table with Sergei Lavrov and Maria Zakharova, had a severe upset and was taken care of by a colleague named Sergei before boarding. However, the incident was attributed to the amount of alcohol consumed.
As Foreign Ministry employees gossip among themselves, Andrei Yakushin continued to drink in Moscow, thus treating his poor health. Only two days after returning from India, on September 13, he went to the hospital, where, among other things, he tested positive for cholera. After this, several dozen passengers were forcibly hospitalized and quarantined.
