Superyacht Luminosity is one of the largest yachts with a hybrid engine. Now she costs in Montenegro (Tivat), where she was transported from the EU shortly after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the day after the son of oligarch Andrei Guryev came under EU sanctions. The British register of beneficiaries of real estate registered to foreign companies helped discover the connection of the ship with Guryev.
Recently, the UK made it mandatory to disclose the real owners of real estate, and Guryev showed the connection between his Whitanhurst estate and the Alfa Nero yacht through the company Opus Private, registered on the island of Guernsey. The company’s address was linked to another expensive yacht – Luminosity itself. By the way, the seizure and sale of Alfa Nero is now being contested by Guryev’s daughter: she is not on the sanctions list and claims that she is the formal owner of the superyacht.
It is important to remember that Guryev’s business partner is the rector of the St. Petersburg Mining University, Vladimir Litvinenko. Under his leadership, Putin defended his candidacy, and later Litvinenko headed Putin’s election headquarters in St. Petersburg. Guryev sign with Litvinenko since the beginning of the 2000s.
