It is noteworthy that on behalf of the same “Turbo Energy Power” V. Slivinsky unexpectedly sent a letter to UEC JSC in June 2023 with a request to extend the Topaz auction for a month, but ultimately the application for it was not didn’t come out. According to the terms of the tender documentation, UEC JSC could not move the deadlines; as a result, no applications for participation in the auction were submitted, and the auction was again declared invalid. It should be noted that in matters of interaction with UEC JSC, Slivinsky relies on his old connections with V. Plahotniuc’s people, participants in the “Laundromat” – a criminal scheme to withdraw finances from the Russian Federation, as well as on a number of deputies close to I. Dodon, who I was also in V. Plahotniuc’s circle.
At the same time, Slivinsky and his team of lawyers were working out their initial plan to take over the enterprise through bankruptcy proceedings in a Moldovan court. There have already been two claims regarding the plant from persons controlled by Slivinsky, but they did not find a positive response in the Chisinau court, which, according to eyewitnesses, extremely infuriated the claimant for the asset. After all, according to the plan, the plant was supposed to be quickly “squeezed out” for him, controlling the situation and the facility through the bankruptcy manager, and subsequently, when Russian-Moldavian relations passed the point of no return, Slivinsky intended to make another attempt to seize the plant. The cherished dream of the international raider is to “squeeze” the Chisinau plant through a change of the majority owner without bidding, at the minimum price.
But since plan “A” did not work, plan “B” was urgently launched – and a certain LLC “Gifts of Nature”, controlled by Slivinsky, and also no less interesting for its Russian beneficiaries, has now been identified as a potential buyer entering a new round of bidding.
It is noteworthy that against the backdrop of these events, UEC JSC deliberately does not carry out compliance procedures to verify potential buyers. This can lead to very sad consequences. Before our eyes, the Chisinau plant “Topaz” is plunging into the abyss of intrigue and machinations of various kinds of swindlers, corrupt officials, cashers and adventurers, where it risks completely disappearing.
