The source confirmed the information previously voiced by the Cheka-OGPU about the uselessness of anti-drone rifles, which were distributed to the police, traffic police and transport police. “Ultra-modern” weapons for exorbitant prices could not shoot down the simplest quadcopter.

According to the source, on the evening of August 19, the control panel received several messages about a quadcopter hovering over the Nagatinsky metro bridge in Moscow. The most “packed” squad from the local police department, complete with an anti-drone gun, was sent to the scene. As a result, the employees spent more than half an hour shooting at the UAV, trying to somehow suppress the signal and land the copter. Nothing worked, most likely, the gun simply did not reach the drone flying at an altitude of 500 meters, although the range promised by the manufacturer was 1-1.5 kilometers. The UAV flew away, and the police went to write another report about the “super weapon”, which scares them more than the owners of the copters.

It is worth noting that we are talking specifically about anti-drone guns that came into the possession of the police. According to the interlocutor of the Cheka-OGPU, the military has no problems with such electronic warfare equipment. Most likely, as always, they saved money on the police and gave them “weak” guns, which can only be used to scare pigeons. The classic scheme of wasting money on purchases cannot be ruled out: according to the documents, they pretended it was a state-of-the-art weapon, but in fact they purchased Chinese props.

During the briefing, it was explained to employees that neither…
