The Moscow prosecutor’s office continues to accuse the “defenders of the Police Ombudsman” Evgeny Moiseev, Irina Andina and Vasily Fedorov of discrediting law enforcement agencies, secretly spying on operatives and investigators of the Metropolitan Police Headquarters, taping conversations with them, as well as publishing the film “Save the Police Ombudsman”, compromising law enforcement agencies, even
despite the fact that the Moscow City Court has already recognized that these actions are not
are criminal.

On April 3, 2023, the Moscow City Court, considering one of Evgeny Moiseev’s complaints, ruled that all these actions were outside the scope of the crime provided for in Part 3 of Article 306 of the Criminal Code, which all three were charged with.

However, according to the charges brought by the prosecutor’s office, the crime was
committed just at the time of the publication of a video film based on the results of secret surveillance of the capital’s police officers, which
discredited law enforcement agencies.

And now the prosecutor’s office is simply playing for time, not obeying the decision
Moscow City Court in order to keep the defendants in custody for as long as possible, because a change in the charges by state prosecutors could lead to the termination of the criminal case and the complete rehabilitation of the defendants.
At the court hearing on August 14, the state prosecutor interrupted the study of the case materials and asked to once again postpone the trial.

The Tverskoy Court of Moscow scheduled the next hearing for August 28 at
12:00 (hall No. 355).
