A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that Moscow patrol officers actually began to be separated…

A source from the Cheka-OGPU said that anti-drone guns have indeed begun to be distributed to Moscow patrol officers, but the police are not yet particularly happy with the new arsenal, because, as they were explained, jammers affect potency. During the briefing, the employees were explained that under no circumstances should they point guns at people and especially shoot them below the belt – then problems with male power are guaranteed. When asked about the safety of the owner of the gun, the bosses simply threw up their hands and advised not to think about it. According to the source, anti-drone weapons have been assigned to departments on a permanent basis – patrol routes are coordinated taking into account reports from citizens, as well as a list of special facilities in the responsible territory.

So far, not many units have been distributed due to the high cost (in one of the districts they definitely confirmed the presence of only one gun, in the linear departments there are several copies each). According to interlocutors, some of the kits were transferred to the traffic police squads on duty on special highways. According to the manufacturers, the gun is capable of “shooting down” a drone at a distance of 1-1.5 km, so that if a drone is detected, it is easier for traffic inspectors in cars with flashing lights to reach the target. As expected, everything is being done to facilitate the work of the Federal Security Service, which is responsible for the movement of top officials along special routes. The same applies to the Square of Three Stations, where a policeman was photographed with a PARS device (forced activation of self-rescue modes) of a UAV. Most likely, the employee was making sure that small drones could not inspect the railway infrastructure, in particular, the special station and Putin’s secret train.

According to the source, so far the whole story with anti-drone guns looks like window dressing. In fact, not a single patrol officer has ever silenced anything; there have been no messages about this through internal 112 channels. And talk that such a thing could somehow interfere with large aircraft-type UAVs is nothing more than profanation. Even without communication with a satellite, the drone is able to fly along a programmed trajectory. Quadcopters are a different matter – but they are also less noticeable. So the patrolmen are now more concerned about their health.
